Break Me Off a Piece of That YouTube Bar?

Give me a break.

To celebrate the 10th anniversary of YouTube and the 80th anniversary of the KitKat bar, YouTube’s parent company, Google, and KitKat Bar maker Nestle are teaming up to rebrand the KitKat bar as the YouTube bar.

Yes, this is a real thing.

The rebranding will include a limited edition run of 600,000 KitKats with the candy bar’s name on the wrapper replaced with YouTube.

On the Google side of things, if you search for “KitKat YouTube My Break” using Google’s voice search, you’ll find a special KitKat YouTube video followed by a playlist of the top four trending YouTube videos in the world.

That’s corporate synergy, people.

This is the second time Google and Nestle have joined forces. You’ll recall that Nestle agreed to let Google name the latest version of its Android operating system, “Android KitKat.”

Google even turned its iconic Android logo into an Android-shaped KitKat bar as part of its marketing push.

Nestle says the YouTube KitKat bar design is the biggest redesign of the KitKat wrapper in 80 years. If you want to get one, though, you’ll have to go to the U.K. or Ireland where the limited edition bars are being sold.

Personally, I’m holding out hope for a Starburst version of Google Glass. Or better yet, an Apple Watch made out of Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups. Get on it, Apple!
