WATCH: New Music Video Depicts Beyoncé’s ‘Drunk in Love’ in Emoji

Back in December, Beyoncé blessed us with a music video for each and every song from her new LP. She called the offering a “visual album.”

Now, an Internet hero has brought new meaning to that phrase.

A new masterpiece of the form depicts pop queen Beyoncé’s new single “Drunk in Love” in emoji, your favorite iOS keyboard images.

It’s not just that the song is fantastic. The emoji work is incredibly impressive. I have watched and rewatched this video several times over the past hour to properly analyze the technical work of Vimeo user Jesse Hill of Austin, Texas, and can confirm that his timing, creative use of unsung emoji and overlaying are expertly executed.

Take, for instance, the line in which Beyoncé admits she “didn’t mean to spill that liquor all on my attire.” The raindrop emoji slowly descends upon the dress emoji as our queen finishes the verse.

It was beautiful. And Hill even found a clever way to incorporate the eggplant. Classy.

This may be better than the parody dedicated to Dunkin’ Donuts. Or maybe even the Kanye remix. Yeah, I said it. And I’m not sorry.
