Asus' new ZenFone 3 smartphones range from big to gargantuan
Asus has kicked off the press day at the Computex trade show in Taipei with an absolutely enormous lineup of products. Among them are three new Android smartphones, the ZenFone 3, the ZenFone 3 Deluxe and ZenFone 3 Ultra, all of which share a similar, seamless metallic design but come in very different sizes.
The ZenFone 3 Deluxe is perhaps the most interesting device in the lineup — an absolute powerhouse of a phone, with a 5.7-inch full HD display, a 23-megapixel back camera, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor, an Adreno 530 GPU, up to 6GB of RAM and a fingerprint scanner.

Its smaller cousin, the ZenFone 3, is a mid-ranger, with a 5.5-inch, full HD screen, a 16-megapixel camera on the back, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor, and up to 4GB of RAM.
The ZenFone Ultra falls between the other two devices, specs-wise: it sports a Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 processor, up to 4GB of RAM, a 23-megapixel camera, and a fingerprint scanner.

What sets it apart is its size — at 6.8-inches, it's probably the largest Android device that calls itself a phone instead of a tablet.
Oddly, that gigantic screen sports full HD (instead of the slightly more logical 4K) resolution. The phone's size, however, enabled Asus to stuff a big, 4,600mAh battery, which should keep the phone running for a long time (and can even be used to charge other devices, at up to 1.5A). For comparison, Apple's 5.5-inch iPhone 6s Plus has a 2,750mAh battery.
Other specs of note, shared by all three devices, are a 5-magnet speaker and support for high-res audio, as well as aluminum unibody construction, with no visible antenna lines.
Pricing and availability dates have not been announced.
