A Supercut of Gamers Smashing Guitar Hero Controllers

The news came out on Tuesday that, after a five-year hiatus, rock’n’roll simulator game Guitar Hero is coming back.

The addictive and often frustrating game was not easy to master. Destroying your guitar-shaped controller (and/or anything within reach) was apparently a common result of repeat failure.

Here we’ve put together a video of some of the best ax-smashing Guitar Hero and Rock Band freakouts on record. And since it turns out the new Guitar Hero Live won’t work with any of the old guitar controllers anyhow, the players in these videos can look back on their destructive freakouts without regret.

Give it a watch and feel the fury of the early 2000s all over again. \m/
