2025 Porsche Cayenne GTS Adds Power, Keeps V8Porsche
  • The 2025 Porsche Cayenne GTS packs a twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V8 that makes 493 hp and 487 lb-ft of torque.

  • Porsche says the ’25 Cayenne sprints to 60 mph in 4.2 seconds and can hit a top speed of 171 mph.

  • The 2025 Porsche Cayenne GTS will reach dealers this fall and start at $126,895.

Porsche has peeled the curtain off the ’25 Cayenne GTS and lifted its hood to show off 4.0 liters of turbocharged V8 sitting in the engine bay. While Porsche updated the Cayenne for 2024, the popular GTS variant sat on the sidelines until, well, right now. That means the ’25 Cayenne GTS will see all of the updates the Cayenne saw last year, but still pack a V8 under the hood.

That V8 is clearly the star of the Cayenne GTS’s show. Displacing 4.0 liters from its eight cylinders, this turbocharged mill sends 493 hp and 487 lb-ft of torque through an eight-speed automatic transmission. That’s 40 hp and 30 lb-ft more than the previous Cayenne GTS and helps it hustle to 60 mph in only 4.2 seconds.

Power travels from that eight-speed transmission into the standard all-wheel-drive system, which features liquid cooling—a tech borrowed from the more potent Cayenne Turbo GT model.

Building on the extra power, the ’25 Cayenne GTS also features a model-specific take on the revised front styling. The nose of this special GTS features larger air inlets and tinted headlights, while tinted taillights adorn the rear.

Alongside those taillights, the Cayenne GTS sports an adaptive spoiler, and a center-exit exhaust is available as an option. The aptly named Lightweight Sport Package includes a lighter roof, a carbon-fiber rear diffuser, and reduced sound insulation.

Suspending all of this is a GTS-specific version of the Cayenne’s air suspension, which sits 10 mm lower than other Cayenne variants. The Cayenne GTS also features two-valve adaptive dampers and Porsche’s Torque Vectoring Plus system.

Like the liquid-cooled all-wheel-drive system, the Cayenne GTS borrows the front-axle pivot bearings from the Cayenne Turbo GT, giving the Cayenne GTS an extra 0.58 degree of negative camber on the front wheels.

Porsche says these Cayenne GTS models are scheduled to hit dealers this fall. If you want to add a ’25 Cayenne GTS to your stable, it’ll set you back at least $126,895 for the standard shell, and $131,495 for the Cayenne GTS coupe, which is over a $10,000 bump from both outgoing models.
