Overview

The Dodge Charger is a historic nameplate that dates back to the original muscle car era and continues to be celebrated by muscle car enthusiasts to this day. The previous iteration of the Charger arrived as a four-door sedan for the 2006 model year, offering a variety of configurations that ranged from a relatively typical six-cylinder full-sized sedan to extremely high-performance, record-breaking four-door muscle cars.

While that generation of Charger left the market with the conclusion of the 2023 model year, a new generation model will debut for 2025 in a form never before seen for the Charger.

Beginning for the 2025 model year, the Dodge Charger will be offered with an inline-six engine called the Sixpack which will output 420 horsepower in Standard Output form. An optional High Output variant of the engine will provide up to 550 horsepower.

An all-electric version of the Charger will also be available. That model will be the most powerful variation of the Charger, outputting 670 horsepower and all-wheel drive. The gas version of the Charger will offer all-wheel drive and an eight-speed automatic transmission.
