In the year 2015, it’s no longer acceptable for celebrity offspring to be financially supported by their famous parents and languidly enjoy the lavish lifestyles that they’ve lucked out in living. Now, they must be models.

Willow Smith, the 14-year-old daughter of actors Will and Jada Pinkett Smith, has signed with The Society Management, the modeling agency announced Tuesday. The striking teen joins the likes of Adriana Lima, Kendall Jenner, Andreja Pejic, and Liu Wen—all of whom are also repped by Society.

Prior to getting signed, the philosophical Smith—who dreams of a “whole world would be one big tribe, one big commune,” a la Avatar—appeared on the covers of I-D and Wonderland, and in CR Fashion Book, Teen Vogue, and T Magazine. She was also a part of Marc Jacobs’s all-star fall 2015 campaign, and, in 2011, released the groundbreaking pop anthem “Whip My Hair” at age nine.

Could this latest step forward into the fashion biz mean her days of hair whipping are officially behind her?
