Take a Wild Guess Where Ivanka Trump's Fashion Brand Is Opening Its Next Store

We know Ivanka Trump's namesake fashion brand, which she officially cut ties with back in January, is in growth mode, looking to make some social media hires in New York. Apparently, it's also expanding it's retail footprint: The Cut reports that signage has gone up for an Ivanka Trump store, set to open in the fall, inside—wait for it—Trump Tower in New York.
The news comes from a photo shared by Politico's Annie Karni on Twitter. The White House reporter posted an image of the covered-up storefront bearing Ivanka Trump Collection's logo against a soft pink floral backdrop, which reads: "Opening Fall 2017." Though there's no specific date, the sign does encourage potential customers to "shop the collection and read our life hacks and styling suggestions on IvankaTrump.com."
Trump's fashion brand has had other retail locations before, though these were mostly for her now-defunct fine jewelry collection: There was a flagship on Madison Avenue in New York, which relocated downtown to the SoHo neighborhood before closing down 2015, according to Vanity Fair; and even a small kiosk within Trump Tower, which seemingly shut down with the brand's fine jewelry operation earlier this year, the New York Times reported. (There was also briefly another jewelry outpost in Beijing, which has also since closed, per BuzzFeed) However, this is would mark the first store opening since Trump handed over the reigns of the company to its current president, Abigail Klem.
The special assistant to the President's relationship to brand that bears her name has come under scrutiny since she joined her father's administration, as have the ethics and practices of the fashion company's supply chain. Though Trump has personally remained silent in the face of this criticism of her label, she continues to wear it in her day to day, as recently as this week, at a session with military spouses in the White House and to travel on Air Force One to New Jersey.
