The Weeknd Flew 11.5 Hours to Give Selena Gomez the Present of His Presence for Her Birthday

Selena Gomez spent her official 25th birthday having a low-key house party with just her friends. But the absence of her boyfriend, Abel Tesfaye (aka The Weeknd), didn't bother her at all because, as she told the world on Instagram story, she knew it was temporary. "Abel's on his way home..." she announced with a smile.

That journey was an 11.5 hour one. Tesfaye was in Paris for a show Saturday and had already posted on his own Instagram story once it wrapped that he was "on my way to you," a clear message for Gomez:

And the two did indeed reunite Sunday-though neither documented it on their social media platforms. Instead, paparazzi caught them having lunch together:

Tesfaye, the man who will spend a day flying for you, then fight jet-lag to spend the entire next day and night out with you for your birthday weekend. No wonder Gomez acts the way she does about him.
