Vera Wang has received many accolades over her 20-plus years as a fashion designer, including CFDA Womenswear Designer of the Year, the André Leon Talley Lifetime Achievement Award from the Savannah College of Art and Design, and, perhaps most uniquely, an induction into the U.S. Figure Skating Hall of Fame. Today, Wang received perhaps her biggest award to date, the Medal of Chevalier of the Legion of Honor, presented to her by Gérard Araud, the Ambassador of France to the United States. The honor, noted as the highest award bestowed by the French government, recognizes those who have rendered over twenty years of eminent service to France or whose achievements uphold France's ideals. With her chic, often-romantic dresses, Wang certainly uphold the country's inherent stylishness. Over the years, the designer has dressed countless A-List celebrities for their wedding day, including Kim Kardashian, Chelsea Clinton, Victoria Beckham, and Mariah Carey. Beyond the aisle, Wang is also a staple on the red carpet for any major awards show, from the Grammys to the Academy Awards. Here, a look back at her most memorable moments.
