The Weekend in Kim Kardashian: Waffles, Selfies & DIY Projects

Kim Kardashian had a busy weekend, which she thankfully chronicled on Instagram for all to see. On Saturday, she managed to sacrilege both Céline and Alaïa in one outfit, a feat never before achieved with such ease. “Yesterday’s vibes- Celine coat, I sewed on a vintage fur,” started her caption, and immediately all fashion faces cringed in disgust. The whole point of wearing Celine is its minimalist look, which does not include oversized fur collars! But then the thought of Kardashian laboring at a sewing machine — or does she sew by hand? — while appliqueing the fur herself was enough to bring us out of our sad-girl state. The rest of her all-black outfit, which included a vintage Alaïa bodysuit, a Balmain skirt, and a pair of knee-high Giuseppe Zanotti boots, were a bit out of character for the selfie artiste, who has adopted a neutral palette of tans and beiges as of late as her signature color.

The entrepreneur also had a late night snack at a Waffle House restaurant alongside her husband Kanye West and noted It-couple John Legend and Chrissy Teigen. North West’s mom was most likely loading up on carbs before her Super Bowl takeover, which included the T-Mobile account tweeting selfies to Twitter users that signed into a website – along with a message that said “your friends are going to be so jealous!” and signed with “<3 Kim,” turning the company’s account into a weird, accidentally soft-core deposit of the same four or five Kardashian images. For good measure the weekend also included a couple of bikini selfies, some on-set selfies, Nori selfies, and various other selfie-selfies. This woman is nothing if not an icon of modern art.
