The Ultimate French Brand A.P.C. is Now Made in America

A.P.C., the ultimate French label, has been the go-to store for anyone who seeks that certain je ne sais quoi style. And now, it’s becoming American. Well, not fully American – but founder Jean Touitou, a longtime fan of the good ole USA has decided that now is the time for the brand to produce and manufacture a small capsule collection in Los Angeles. And he’s named it A.P.C.U.S., of course.

The collection will consist of T-shirts, sweatshirts, and hoodies in gray for men and women. Touitou remarked, “If you want to cook French cuisine, better to use French ingredients,” so presumably, the same is true for American fashion. And we could not agree more – why reinvent what Americans do best?

This is not the first time a French brand has paid homage to America. The super-chic Paris store Le Bon Marché dedicated a whole month to Williamsburg, the Brooklyn borough in 2015. With more juice bars and vegan restaurants opening in Paris, perhaps the time has come for our French counterparts to embrace the American dream!

In this time of political change and so much talk of ‘Made in America’ and ‘Buy American,’ this is not a move that Touitou made in haste to support any specific pro-American spirit, but something he’s genuinely always wanted to do. This is a man who really supports that Californian dreaming and we are behind him for it!
