Humans have figured out how to bake a pie into a cake, so why can we not figure out how to make marriages last? Riddle me that, science! OK, but seriously, the secret to stable marriages are probably not so secret: trust, honestly, love, respect, etc. But what about the wild cards?

Predictably, people who marry for looks or money don’t have super stable marriages, but most interestingly, people with huge weddings stay married longer:
Maybe this is because having a large social circle means you have more support during the hard times, or maybe it’s that people with large networks find it more embarrassing to get divorced. But, again, the love and trust and respect thing is ultimately way more important to a great relationship than the number of bridesmaids in your wedding party.
