Move over Prada, Dolce & Gabbana and Pucci or anyone else for that matter. Milan has a new queen in town and no one can get their hands on her. The Gucci Horsebit fur loafer ($995) has been the biggest star of Milan fashion week. On the feet of every editor from Anna Dello Russo to Jane Keltner to Jessica Diehl, these fur slides have sold out multiple times worldwide. At Gucci’s recently renovated flagship store on Via Montenapoleone (the Madison Avenue of Milan) there is a mob of fashion editors desperately trying to get their well-manicured hands on a pair. “It’s like a sample sale! I saw at least 15 editors literally buying up so much,” say one insider. I spoke to a store sales associate in the store who told me they had a shipment of 10 pairs in yesterday and within 1hour, they were all sold out and the wait list is filling up. So if you happen to see a pair at your nearest Gucci store, snap them up— no matter what size they are!
