Over the past month, the internet (and, let’s be honest, the rest of the world) has become obsessed with two things: Pokémon Go and Netflix’s brand new original series, the creepy Stranger Things. People are so obsessed with Stranger Things that they’ve recut it so it could be an ’80s sitcom, Barb has become an icon the web over, and people have painstakingly combed through the show to find all the movie references that they can.

The TV show is full of nostalgia, and it has certainly inspired a lot of people to look back into their pasts.

In fact, one illustrator was so inspired by the show that they decided to mock-up an old school video game based on the show and it’s AMAZING.

Created by Jacob Janerka, a 2D visual artist who is currently developing his own ’80s inspired game, the mock-up pays homage to the “point and click” games of yesteryear, and we have to say we’re pretty obsessed with it.

The scene Janerka has mocked up sees Joyce Byers (Winona Ryder) and Sheriff Hopper (David Harbour) in a living room that’s covered with Christmas lights. The GIF then shows the same scene in the other dimension known as “The Upside Down.”

It’s unknown yet whether Janerka plans to really create an app or adaptation of the popular Netflix series, but we really hope he can as this looks SO cool.
