If you consider yourself an avid movie fan, you might have as tough a time looking away from Dat Scene as we did. Phil Grishayev, who runs the Tumblr blog, has made a hobby out of finding famous places in Los Angeles and juxtaposing vintage scenes with current photos from the same angle. He recreates everything from “Pulp Fiction” to 2Pac’s “To Live and Die in L.A.” video to infamous Manson family photos. It’s an addictive tour through L.A., and a great history lesson in how the city used to look, from the glamour areas to the suburbs.
