Sarah Jessica Parker's Appearance On Globes Red Carpet Was A Nod To Carrie Fisher

Sarah Jessica Parker has walked the Globes Globes 2017 red carpet, making it the first time she has attended the Globes in a staggering ten years.

Sashaying up the celeb aisle into the awards, we were reminded more than a little bit of her Sex And The City alter ego, at the moment when she nearly marries Mr Big, in her giant Vivienne Westwood meringue.

This deep-necked white gown, though, was a design by bridalwear doyenne Vera Wang.

Interviewed by NBC for their arrivals segment, Sarah spoke of her look as a nod to the late Carrie Fisher.

In part of course, because Carrie's most famous character Princess Leia wears a white column drape dress, but mainly, as you can see, for her hair style.

The 51-year-old Divorce actress wore her hair in a braided up do, which wasn't quite the double bun of Princess Leia fame, but was a nod to the style nonetheless.
