There's no escaping Riz Ahmed. The 34-year-old actor is taking his dominance of big screen (ahem, Rogue One) and small (he's killing it with a very meaningful cameo on this season of HBO's Girls) and making the most of it. Which extends beyond his work as actor and musician and into the realm of style — from his stellar suited looks to more laid-back looks. Yesterday, Ahmed proved himself a master of the latter, when he stepped out in London wearing the ultimate low-key actor look that happened to double as the spring layering look you should be wearing this season.
Ahmed kept things chill with a baseball cap, perfectly on-trend slouchy trousers, and always-in-style minimalist sneakers (but in a dark color). Then, he pulled an advanced move by layering a navy jacket over a zip-up gray turtleneck sweater.
This is the sort of outfit that works on two levels: it looks good in a relaxed sort of way, and it's thoughtful enough to keep you comfortable in a variety of situations. A little chilly out? No worries, you're all set. A little warmer than you expected? Rip off the jacket or take off the sweater and wrap it around your waist, and, bam, you're good to go. It's these little things that can make or break your day, after all. Spring is here: be prepared—the Riz Ahmed way.
