Rihanna’s Second ANTIdiaRy Teaser Will Have to Hold Us over as We Wait for Her New Album

It’s been a while since Rihanna released an album. Her last effort, Unapologetic came out in 2012, and Rihanna fans have been waiting expectantly for her to release another. Of course, Rih has been keeping busy in the meantime as the creative director of Puma’s women’s collections, designing cool socks, starring in animated films, and being her usual badass self. But now, the wait for Rih’s next album, ANTI, is nearly over and this holiday weekend, the singer unleashed another teaser to get us excited for her forthcoming project.

Riri’s set up an interactive experience (which you can access on your mobile device) in collaboration with Samsung and Punchdrunk theater company, featuring a collection of “rooms” that eventually get unlocked as every teaser video drops. The first room was the “bedroom” and this time, Riri moves to the studio, warning us that “there’s more than meets the eye.” She shyly approaches the mixing board, which sends her into throes of undulations once she touches it. A group of men in hoodies, hats and bandannas appear behind her at the end of the clip. How mysterious.

The mobile experience is definitely something special. If you visit the ANTIdiary website on your phone, you get a 360° view of each of Riri’s rooms and extra multimedia features if you touch certain objects or people in each room. Definitely a clever marketing scheme to build up hype behind the album.

Granted, the short doesn’t really give us much tea on what to expect from Rih’s latest album, but if we know anything about the singer, it’s that she definitely won’t disappoint us and will most likely roll out some bangers for her latest effort. In the meantime, Rihanna fans can show support for the singer by copping tickets to her ANTI World Tour, which goes on sale Thursday, December 3.
