Rihanna Is the Queen of the Met Gala — and the Internet Is Freaking Out

No one can top Rihanna at the Met Gala.

At the 2017 Met Gala on Monday night, Rihanna was on theme in a structural design from Comme des Garçons. The architectural design was straight off the runway from Rei Kawakubo’s Fall 2016 runway.

She paired the colorful piece with lace-up red heels that matched her statement lip. She fittingly topped off the fun number with a top knot and bangs as well as exaggerated pink blush.

Rihanna’s look was a major winner, with the Internet going into a total melt down over her daring choice.

Rihanna, who couldn’t attend the annual event in 2016 because she was on tour, was also one of the best dressed in 2016 when she served as co-host. For “China: Through the Looking Glass,” she opted for a yellow fur-trimmed cape from Guo Pei.

“I’m so in love with this dress, but the train is insane!” Rihanna told Vanity Fair at the time. “I can’t really walk in it without any help—but it’s so worth it. I love this dress so much! It’s Chinese couture and it’s made by Guo Pei. It’s handmade by one Chinese woman and it took her two years to make. I found it online.”

No word yet on how Rihanna got her hands on this year’s look, but undeniably she stole the show yet again.
