Rihanna Will Show at New York Fashion Week

Rihanna’s no stranger to New York fashion week: For several years, she’s been a front fixture at major shows like Alexander Wang, Altuzarra, and Versus—plus, she’s always there to show support for her designer bud Adam Selman. She also went Phresh Out the (London) Runway in 2013, presenting her collection for high street fixture River Island.
But it’s looking like 2016 will be the year that Bad Gal RiRi finally makes her mark on the NYFW scene.
Tuesday, Ri tweeted out a link for an auction she’s hosting for her charity, the Clara Lionel Foundation. Amongst the items up for bids is a trip for two to “be flown business class to New York for two nights to experience the premier Puma by Rihanna AW16 fashion show, February 12, 2016 from 8pm-9pm EST.”
Weh-heh-hell, then!
The “experience” also includes pre-show styling, backstage passes, an after-party invite, and every single piece of the entire PUMA by Rihanna collection. The starting value? $15,000. Let’s hope the winner realllllly likes platform creepers.
For someone who seems to enjoy torturing us with confusing, abstract teasers for her upcoming album, it surprising that Rihanna would choose to reveal her big fashion week news in such a low-key way. Maybe it was a mistake? Either way, PUMA x Rihanna is pretty much guaranteed to be one of the hottest tickets in town come February.
