Reese Witherspoon’s Favorite Pieces from Draper James
In today’s Hollywood, who knew it was no longer enough to win an Oscar? Now, you’ve got to be a brand. And rather than launching a line of hair extensions or a waist-trainer, ever the lady Reese Witherspoon has come forth with Draper James, a Southern-inspired fashion and home line. (Draper is her grandmother’s maiden name; James is her grandfather’s middle name.) The 400-piece collection, which launched this summer, is no flash [link: preserve.us] in the pan (it recently raised an additional ten million dollars in funding). Here, Witherspoon gives us the scoop on her four favorite items from the home collection—the one percent, if you will.
Southern Sayings Cocktail Napkins, $85
“Our cocktail napkins are one of my favorites because they’re so proper and beautiful but still have a little dose of that famous Southern sass. They’re the perfect hostess gift, too.”
Horseshoe Letterpress Card Set, $40
“Writing thank you notes is such a simple thing that is so appreciated. I love these horseshoe notes because they’re perfect for just about any occasion. We worked with 42 Pressed, a Charleston-based boutique stationery company, to create this beautiful and exclusive set.”
“Fall is such a gorgeous season in the South and I love the idea of cozying up by the fire with this blanket and roasting some s’mores.”
“I love the warmth that throw pillows bring to a room, and the scripted monogramming adds such a pretty and personal touch. For these, we partnered with one of my favorite stores in Savannah, Number Four Eleven.”
