The Pool Inside This Hobbit Home Is Simply Incredible

From House Beautiful

If you've ever wished you could live in the magical place known as Hobbiton from The Lord of the Rings, prepare yourself: We've stumbled across something even better. In northern England, there's a luxury hobbit hole that has a stunning swimming pool located smack dab in the middle of it.

The 4,000-square-foot abode was designed by Arthur Quarmby, a well-known architect who proceeded to live in his hillside home for 41 years. Now, it's on the market for $910,000. Once you get a closer look at the house, you'll understand why.

The home has four bedrooms, meaning it's big enough for a family and guests (quite a surprise considering how small most hobbit hole homes are). And remember that swimming pool we mentioned earlier? Well, it sits beautifully in the family recreation area, with stone arches spanning over it. Sun pours down on the space, thanks to the 20-foot skylight, making the already heated pool even cozier.

Oh, and if you want to embrace the darkness of living underground, you can escape to the room they've dubbed "The Cave," which features a cozy fireplace and (you guessed it) absolutely no natural light. Then, once you're craving a little Vitamin D, camp out in the living room where you can take in views of the Pennine Hills behind the house. How lovely?
