Today is the much anticipated Cow Appreciation Day, and everyone is headed to Chick-fil-A.

The 13th annual event created by the fast food chain encourages people to dress up in honor of the brand’s famous Eat Mor Chikin Cowz, which have become the company’s famous mascots. Introduced in 1995, the cows have been increasingly recognized by consumers as the voices behind the plea to eat more white meat. The chicken chain has ultimately created an identity for the cows, who have social media accounts as well as their own language. And it turns out people are more than excited to dress up as them.

“Break out your spots and cow bells,” the chain’s website reads. “We’re celebrating our favorite bovines the best way we know how: free chicken.”

Redeemable meals from the chain’s locations include essentially every item from Chick-fil-A’s menu, with numerous options from breakfast, lunch, and dinner for those who dress up. From the looks of social media, there seems to be some fierce competition for best dressed.

The best kind of Chick-Fil-A is free Chick-Fil-A! #cowappreciationday

Anything goes when it comes to dressing up as a cow for free food. Just don’t be the person who forgets.
