How to Apply for the World of Beer Internship

The World of Beer is offering a unique internship opportunity this summer, one that could have a lot of adults reconsidering their career paths.

World of Beer, the Florida-based craft beer bar chain, is looking for three social media-savvy interns with a taste for beer, travel, and more beer. According to the official job description for what they’ve (accurately) dubbed “the internship of a lifetime,” the World of Beer interns will spend almost four months traveling around the world, hopping from brewery to brewery, attending beer festivals, drinking, and, naturally, documenting it all online.

While many people would willingly take on this adventure for free (or happily spend their vacations throwing back pints in exotic locations), World of Beer is paying its interns $12,000, along with covering travel expenses, lodging, and, of course, all the brew.

The best part about the internship, though, is that you don’t need to be a college student to apply. Anyone who is over the age of 21 with a passport, social media skills, and a schedule that can accommodate beer-related travel can apply. A World of Beer spokeswoman told Thrillist, that applicants don't have to be U.S. citizens, either, although they do need to be authorized to work in the U.S.

The deadline to apply for the internship is March 26th, and the application includes making a one-minute video about your love of beer, and sharing about World of Beer on your social channels. The more social shares, the higher you appear on the list of applicants. Finalists will be contacted the week of March 28th for final interviews, which be forewarned they call “auditions” on the application. Those selected for the program will start their booze-filled adventure the last week of April.

If your Twitter skills are rusty, you lost your Instagram password, and you’re not entirely sure what Snapchat is, remember you can always skip the internship and visit America’s Best Beer Bars, best beer cities, and even a beer spa on your next vacation—no social media required.
