NYFW by the Numbers

Fashion week is always a manic flurry of activity: dozens of shows per day; models, photographers, makeup and hair artists, editors, and designers dashing from one event to the next; multiple parties per night; and many, many miles traversed during the course of the week. Here, we’ve broken down the NYFW season in minutes, miles, dollars, and more.
6: The number of people you’ll see working on one model during backstage beauty.

25: Average number of models in a runway show.
31: Number of shows on the Made calendar this season.
30: Number of people who can fit in the Milk Studios passenger elevator (although we’re guessing we’ve been in there with closer to 40 or 50).

144: Number of front-row seats at Milk Studios.
11: Number of hours an iPhone 6 battery supposedly lasts after a full charge while we Instagram runway shows, tweet, text, etc. (It seems more like two hours…)
120%: Amount of extra battery Mophie Juice Pack Plus for iPhone 6 provides. (Is that enough to get us through a whole day of shows and a night of parties? We’re about to find out.)
9: Number of minutes Google estimates it will take to drive from One World Trade Center (our office) to the Alexander Wang show. That will be a piece of cake compared with the 30-plus minutes (more like an hour) it took to get to his show at the Brooklyn Navy Yard two seasons ago.
$21 to $26: Standard cost of an Uber Black car ride from One World Trade Center to Lincoln Center.
$22 to $26: Standard cost of an Uber Black car ride from One World Trade Center to Milk Studios.
14: The lowest number of runway shows taking place in one day (Thursday, February 19).
48: The highest number of runway shows taking place in one day (Thursday, February 12).
8: Average number of minutes a runway show lasts.
