Meet Miley Cyrus’s Designer Pen Pal, Jacquemus (NSFW)

Earlier this year, young French designer Jacquemus took home a special LVMH Prize of €150,000 (first place — and €300,000 — went to Marques'Almeida). And now, the 25-year-old is garnering praise and press from another source, entirely: Miley Cyrus.
In her latest column for V Magazine, the outspoken pop star lauds the Simon Porte Jacquemus for being an “avant-garde pioneer who is bringing optimism and reality into the fantasies of young designers.”
“Even this Dirty Hippie fell for the clean simplicity and what seems like sacred geometry that is Jacquemus,” she says.

Though they’ve never actually met in the flesh (Cyrus apparently developed a liking for the designer through his impeccably artistic Instagram), she refers to Jacquemus — who shares her unabashed affinity for nudity — as her “dear virtual friend.”
“Although we still have not met in person, my connection and relationship with Simon is real,” Cyrus writes. “I think we are an example of a new generation that is united through technology. Being ’90s babies, maybe it’s just our inner pen-palling. Like his much-loved circles, Simon is incessant, and I am looking forward to knowing him in his physical form.”
