Katy Perry's 'Right Shark' Is Actually a Really Hot Dude

Last night’s Super Bowl had some show-stopping moments. Patriots’ rookie Malcolm Butler scored the winning touchdown, Tom Brady and team shed a tear or two, and of course, Katy Perry’s performance with Lenny Kravitz and Missy Elliott.

And then there were the adorable dancing sharks.

Although the two sharks childishly bopped around the stage during the pop princess’ “California Gurls” and “Teenage Dream,”— at one point one even ran into an inflated tree—they were on point with their eclectic moves, that included the Macarena, and the hustle. The sharks may have been cute in costume, but the person underneath the “right shark” costume was even better. Meet Scott Myrick.

"Right shark’s" unexpected hunk (with show-stopping abs) has actually danced for Katy Perry for nearly five years, although this is his first time in full "Jaws" costume! Myrick discussed last night’s performance on Reddit, immediately after taking the center stage.

Here’s what you should know about the surprising mega-hottie:

1. This LA boy can be “charming as f**k, on good days”
2. He’s danced in ridiculous costumes before, like his full gingerbread man costume in Katy Perry’s California Dreams tour.
3. He’s a Patriots fan (because of Tom Brady).
4. He also appeared on the Super Bowl stage as a horse chest piece, but had to change into the ridiculous shark costume in 1:30 seconds.
5. He would rather fight a Katy Perry-sized duck than 100 duck-sized Katy Perrys—“hundo percent!”
