Mandy Moore just learned an intense “Tangled”/”Frozen” fan theory, and she’s worried about all of us
It’s not every day you can bring a Disney Princess fan theory directly to the Disney Princess in question. While there aren’t too many Tangled fan theories floating out there in the world, there is one that directly connects Rapunzel to Elsa and Anna. And when you get the chance to sit down with Mandy More herself, you 100% bring it up. Opportunities like this don’t happen every day.
Mandy — who voiced Rapunzel in the animated movie, and now in the Disney Channel TV show, too — clearly doesn’t Google fan theories as often as we do. During a recent interview with TVLine, she’s asked if she’s heard the one that connects Tangled to Frozen. Theory goes, Elsa and Anna’s parents are actually on their way to Rapunzel and Flynn’s Eugene’s wedding when their boat sinks.
This theory has actually been disproven (BECAUSE, Anna and Elsa’s parents then wash up on shore, and have Tarzan. Duh). But just because it’s not true doesn’t mean you shouldn’t talk to Mandy about it, and she’s quick to call all of us “morbid” for thinking this up in the first place.
“It feels like someone’s really reaching into Lost territory,” Mandy muses. “Or, This Is Us territory!”
Mandy has never heard this theory before, and from her facial expressions, she clearly wishes she had never heard it in the first place.
