Stuart Weitzman has nailed its fall 2016 campaign with a one-two punch, thanks to fashion phenom Gigi Hadid, whose real-life boxing workouts inspired the dynamic, athletic poses in upcoming ads for the company’s new line of boots and shoes.

In exclusive behind-the-scenes photos obtained by Yahoo Style, a confident, fresh-faced Hadid embodies the sexy, powerful woman that the shoe brand is targeting in its 10th-season, international campaign.

Renowned photographer Mario Testino captures Hadid punching, kicking, and jumping through the air with stunning agility while flaunting the brand’s new over-the-knee suede boots, slouchy heel boots, and more on her long, strong legs.

“We took a decidedly editorial approach to the creative direction of the campaign this season,” Stuart Weitzman chief marketing officer Susan Duffy told Yahoo Style. “Showcasing the sheer power and grace of Gigi’s strength in motion seemed like a natural direction for us and a continuum of our storytelling arc. Women walk, run, dance, and actually run the world in Stuart Weitzmans.”

In addition, the company wanted to convey a sense of freedom and comfort in one’s own skin. So it was a no-brainer to use Hadid’s own fierce workout regimen as the shoot’s theme. “Boxing is a sport that has a rare combination of being so fiercely intense in its movements yet graceful at the same time,” said Duffy. “It was a great opportunity to capture Gigi in this light at a time when women’s empowerment is gaining strength in our world.”

In the June 6 issue of Us Weekly, the runway model called boxing her “new obsession.” It’s not so new, though, as Vogue has been shadowing Hadid’s sessions since 2015. In a video for Vogue, Hadid showed off her body-sculpting moves at Gotham Gym in New York City by jabbing, right-hooking, and uppercutting for the camera.

She told the publication, “The secret to any good workout is having a good time. When you’re boxing, you get so into it mentally that you kind of forget what’s going on. You forget that you’re working out, so by the end of the hour, I’m like, ‘Wait, we’re done?’” And that feel-good, look-good attitude is exactly what she exudes in the Stuart Weitzman campaign.

But it isn’t just an empowered feeling that keeps Hadid sparring. Boxing is a full-body workout that tones abs and legs just as much as it strengthens arms. This mind-body-spirit connection is what makes Hadid’s photos for the Stuart Weitzman campaign so mesmerizing. The images will be in black and white for added drama and “to embrace a distinctively minimalist aesthetic,” according to a statement from the company.

Hadid is poised to take on the world, as the international advertising campaign will launch in the United States, Italy, France, England, Dubai, Germany, Spain, and Asia.
