Laverne Cox’s #NoMakeupSelfie Is Flawless, Inspiring

When actress Laverne Cox isn’t working on set, working the red carpet, or working her birthday suit in a magazine, she’s relaxing—and posting inspiring, gorgeous Instagrams at the same time.
The Orange Is the New Black star shared the above selfie Wednesday, showing off her insanely perfect skin without a dab of makeup, and her hair tied back in a chic low ponytail. (With skin like that, makeup almost seems like a waste of time, doesn’t it?)
Cox captioned the pic, “Finally a few days to relax. I feel so privileged to be able to do work that I love and very privileged to be able to take time off occasionally. I take none of it lightly. Always good to have days with no makeup to let my skin breath. [sic]”
But her skin’s not the only thing she’s letting breathe: She’s also wearing a very revealing mesh-paneled getup that’s giving her bosoms some major airtime. She looks beyond incredible.
As she frequently does, Cox, who is transgender, hashtagged the photo #TransIsBeautiful—an always-important reminder that beauty comes in all shapes, sizes, colors, and gender identities.
