Kendall Jenner Just Out Menswear-ed Every Menswear Dude

Take notes guys.

By Liza Corsillo.

If you want proof that the original menswear uniform is anything-but dead, just check out Kendall Jenner. The Kardashian family member, GQ cover star, top model, Instagram influencer (#sponlife), onetime Pepsi spokeswoman and new face of Adidas was spotted out in New York City on Tuesday wearing one serious bit of tailoring, specifically a multicolored pinstripe double-breasted suit from L.A.-based label Wolk Morais.

Suiting up has never looked cooler than right now—regardless of who is doing it.

And that the suit is actually a menswear piece and that Jenner finished her fit off with some hard-to-get Adidas Yeezy Powerphase sneakers and a Louis Vuitton cross-body bag (also, is that a fidget spinner in her hand?) not only makes this look one for the books, but one that any guy seeing could learn a thing or two from. Like Kristen Stewart and Phoebe Philo, Jenner knows what she's doing in the menswear department.

For starters, wearing a suit—especially one this swervy—with sneakers is always a smart bet. It steers any bold tailoring two-piece out of too-much territory and into a place more palatable for everyday wear (though maybe not to the office). Secondly, if you're going to go for some 202-level tailoring, go all in like Kendall Jenner did here. It's one thing to opt for some standout stripes, it's another for those stripes to be cut into a boss double-breasted suit in a relaxed fit.

And third, embrace the uncommon in your closet. A burnt orange, mustard, and cream color palette isn't the norm when it comes to menswear classics, but just what's going to help you stand out in any crowd. After all, it's 2017 and the best way to get dressed is to do it unlike everyone else you know (but maybe a little like the famous Cool Teens™ who are killing it right now).
