Paint-spattered pants are making a comeback, but Kendall Jenner just took the look to a whole new level. The model stepped out in Paris on Sunday in a crazy casual outfit. It consisted of a grungy R30 T-shirt under an Ambush denim and sheepskin jacket, but the star of the show was the lower half —doodled-on pants. The light gray jeans with a black crotch featured painted illustrations and phrases all over them. And they were pretty dark — not in color but in spirit.

With images of topless women and phrases like “Chains around my neck,” the Duppy Conquerer jeans seem to pay homage to singer Bob Marley, who wrote a song of the same name. Other phrases plastered on the pants include “I would bow down before just one.”

They are made by the brand Come Tees, and similar styles sell for $200.

The look shows off a different side of Jenner than we’re used to seeing — the one that wears Chanel suits. This version of the model is more a casual rebel. And the jeans definitely show off her kooky side.

However, Jenner has definitely been getting in touch with this side of herself for a while now. She wore a vintage Lakers T-shirt to a basketball game a few months ago and a very punk shirt that said “New World Order” last month, referencing an old-school wrestling group.

This is definitely the most grunge we’ve ever seen her, though, and we kind of like it. What’s next, Jenner? Gauge earrings?
