Kate Middleton's third baby is coming sooner than you might think

April showers bring royal babies! According to a Kensington Palace spokesperson, the Royal Highnesses are “delighted to confirm they are expecting a baby in April.”

There was speculation that Prince William had given away Kate Middeton’s due date in early September when he told members of the public “we just need Catherine to get over this first bit, then we can start celebrating next week.”

This led many to believe that the duchess was around 11 weeks pregnant at the time and would hit the 12 week point, marking the second trimester, a few days later.

The date could be close to the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s wedding anniversary, which is April 29, or Princess Charlotte‘s birthday, May 2.

Middleton has been suffering from extreme morning sickness since the start of her pregnancy, forcing Kensington Palace to announce the royal’s pregnancy early.

She made her first appearance in six weeks last Tuesday to celebrate World Mental Health Day with another surprise visit on Monday to Paddington station.

It was also announced today that the Duke and Duchess will be making a trip to Norway and Sweden in early 2018 for yet another royal tour.
