Kate Middleton is Pretty in Hot Pink

The Duchess of Cambridge made her final official appearance before disappearing from the public eye on Friday (because that’s what women with “a condition” do in 21st century London), and she went out with a bright and stylish bang.

Taking a tour of the Stephen Lawrence Centre, a place for community learning and social research, Kate Middleton wore a fuchsia coat from Mulberry. The double-breasted wool item, which originally retailed for $2,600 but is no longer available, comes straight from the 33-year-old’s closet—she wore the hot pink topper while visiting the 9/11 memorial during her December trip to New York.

The Duchess, who is due sometime next month (she admitted recently, “I’m due mid-April, to the end of April. Not long to go now.”) has been repeating outfits left and right. Clothes she had from her previous pregnancy with son Prince George, and new outfits she apparently purchased this time around, weren’t sent to some shrine of Duchess fashion right after making their debut. Instead, like a normal human, she hung them up, steamed them out, and saved them for future use: a Hobbs Dalmatian print coat, pink Peter Pan collared Alexander McQueen jacket, her favorite Jenny Packham gown, and more. She might be a princess, but she’s the queen of clothing conservation.

And you, too, can be just like the royal (in more ways than one). Not only are there affordable hot pink coats on the market that look just like Middleton’s, but wear it time and time again and you too can be an outfit repeater (in the best way possible).
