Jennifer Garner’s Oscar Dress Caused Her Serious Pain
First news broke that Sofia Vergara’s red carpet dresses are so tight they make her bleed and now Jennifer Garner’s admitted her form-fitting Oscars 2016 dress caused her ribs to protest.
Surely that’s enough proof that it’s time women put their comfort – and health – before their need to look good?
The 43-year-old actress confessed to US chat show host Jimmy Fallon that her ribs “started spasming” during the Oscars this year, due to the incredibly tight Versace gown she wore.

It was so tight, in fact, that two men had to clip her into it – which the actress joked gave her the illusion that she “still has a waist” after having three children.
“I was having a muscle spasm, everything started to freak out. I have to stand up, [but] if I stand up they’ll think I’m Kanye West, protesting.”
The actress, who split from husband Ben Affleck last year, explained that she finally escaped to the toilets – where she called on a friend to help her out.
Joking she was having more trouble than a toddler in a rompersuit, she said, “It’s a bodysuit… it had a hook in an intimate position. I couldn’t reach it. I said to my friend, ‘I don’t know what’s going to happen. You have to get this.’
Surely that’s enough proof that it’s time women put their comfort – and health – before their need to look good?
