Jennifer Garner Dazzles as She Is Honored for Charity Work at Starkey Hearing Foundation Gala

Jennifer Garner took center stage at the Starkey Hearing Foundation Gala in St. Paul, Minnesota, on Sunday night. The actress was honored at the gala for her work with early childhood education.

Garner, 44, stunned in a long, black gown with a plunging asymmetrical strappy neckline for the special occasion. She kept her hair loose around her shoulder and paired her look with simple silver jewelry.

Steven Sawalich of the Starkey Hearing Foundation introduced Garner, praising the actress for her dedication to her philanthropic work with children.

"Her name is recognizable in the entertainment world as an award-winning performer," Sawalich said. "She's a talented and beautiful actress, but one of my favorite callings about Jennifer Garner, is that, many of you may or may know is her far-reaching effect in the philanthropic world, and her passion for advocacy for early childhood education."

Garner took the stage to accept the award and received a large medal, which she wore around her neck.

"Thrilled to honor Jennifer Garner for her incredible philanthropic efforts with @SavetheChildren! #StarkeyGala," the Starkey Foundation's posted on Twitter.

Garner delivered an emotional speech at the event, which featured a star-studded crowd including John Mellencamp, Johnny Depp, Jay Leno and more.

"Oh my gosh, this night. I didn't know what I was getting into. Did you guys?," she said. I mean, I got a necklace, and I've been crying back there. It's an honor to be here with you all, it's an honor now especially at the end of the night to receive this award."
