Inside the Biggest Parties of Paris Fashion Week With The Misshapes
FASHION MONTH IS OVER! I was super busy in Paris, this final week of the season, DJ-ing parties and attending some of my favorite designers’ shows, kicking off with a look at Karl Lagerfeld’s new capsule collection of bags and furry monsters dedicated to his cat, Choupette. Other highlights: Purple magazine’s dinner party at the new restaurant La Belle Epoque; Kim Kardashian’s cocktail party in the penthouse of the Penisula Hotel, in a suite decorated in fur and taxidermy with fruit and cheese and buckets of caviar from Caviar Kaspia, I’ll keep up with that! Also the sushi brunch for Vogue Japan’s Obsession issue, hosted by Mario Testino and Anna Della Russo. My DJ partner Geordon Nicol and I DJ-ed at the packed David Lynch club Silencio, too. And last but not least, Chanel brought the week to an end with a bang – actually a protest. Models stomped down the runway (made to resemble “Boulevard Chanel”) in gangs, holding signs and bullhorns and wearing paint-splattered tweed. Then I packed it up and headed back to New York, but not without some slight flight issues due to the air strike in France.
