Hooters Is Sponsoring Alexander Wang’s After Party

There’s not much weird about Alexander Wang’s invite: a flashing gif announcing the party of the year; a date, time, and place; a list of sponsors. Nars has done the makeup for Wang’s show for years, Evian‚ well, you need that to sustain the steady flow of Absolut and Peroni. And then you get to Hooters.
On the one hand, of course Hooters is sponsoring Wang’s after party. The stuff of legends, the designer’s shut down a gas station and thrown a Courtney Love concert, staged a carnival under the highline, and organized a frat party on a pier. On the other hand, this might be the first time fashion’s overlapped with Hooters, and frankly it’s a collaboration we’d expect to see via Moschino, not Wang.
Regardless, fashion loves a novelty, so it’s time to prepare for a flood of Hooters girls to hit your Instagram feed Saturday night.
