Celebs are notorious for getting into the spirit of Halloween but nobody goes as above and beyond as Heidi Klum. In recent years, the supermodel has raised the bar for her famous colleagues by transforming into everything from a classy old grannie (complete with age spots and varicose veins) to Lady Godiva riding a (real) horse, and a sexy/extremely cartoonlike Jessica Rabbit. Her costumes have become so notorious that she’s been affectionately deemed the “Queen” of October 31st. (See Yahoo Style’s roundup: 16 Glorious Years of Heidi Klum Slaying at Halloween.)

So what look will she rock at her annual Halloween soiree this year?

Thursday evening, Klum attended the annual Amfar inspiration Gala in Hollywood. And as soon as she hit the carpet, a sea of reporters attempted to get her to reveal this year’s costume agenda. “It’s a German theme so it’s made in Germany. That’s my only little hint,” she told Yahoo Style. “I really hope it works out!”

Unlike many of us who just toss on a wig and apply a bit of makeup, the America’s Got Talent star’s Halloween plans require weeks of preparation. “It always goes through so many hurdles. Things go wrong and it’s not as easy as I thought it would be,” she reveals of this year’s look. Klum explained that her mysterious imported costume is being custom made and that she honestly doesn’t know if it will all come together the way that she is anticipating. “Certain things still have to be done on Monday and it’s like, oh my God. I thought this would arrive. We talk about this up to the last minute and still I don’t know, will it work? You can’t rehearse that. You can’t try these things on. They are special made pieces!” she exclaims.

When asked about whether or not she feels pressure to outdo herself every year, with the whole world wondering “What will Heidi dress up as?” Klum grinned and said, “I probably put on the pressure myself because I want it to be witty and I want it to be out there.” She also revealed that collaborating with professional prosthetic specialists and Hollywood makeup artists is really what has taken her looks to the next level. “Five years ago, I always did everything by myself. But then I met these amazing people that do prosthetics for movies and now it’s like ‘oh I can do all these amazing things,’” she said of teaming up with her costume squad. Klum reveals that her team enjoys working on her because she has no restrictions and allows them to spend hours bringing her holiday look to life. “They’re always like, “You’re like our dream canvas because we can pile all this stuff on you and you just take it,” she joked.

And the Halloween enthusiast assures us that a Klum-worthy costume does take an unfathomable amount of time to put on and take off. “Sometimes, it’s not the most comfortable thing,” she admitted. “And it’s not all that glamorous.” She explained that her Jessica Rabbit outfit from last year, for instance took hours to remove at the end of the night. “I’m in a hotel room with these four guys ripping these boobs off me, the butt off me, all this stuff that I had on my face. I mean it’s not pretty. It’s very humiliating. And then you are scrubbing all this stuff because it’s like glued onto your skin. So you just stand there and they are peeling all this stuff off of you and you’re butt naked with all these dudes doing this stuff. Oye!”
