Halloween's Hottest Trends Include Ken Bone, Trumpkins, and Clowns

Halloween 2016 is going to be … interesting. The clear trends that have emerged ahead of the holiday so far are politics, pumpkins, and creepy clowns.

For those looking to the election for inspiration, a plain pants suit or gold toupee apparently won’t do. So why not look to the most famous undecided voter: Mr. Kenneth Bone. And for those wanting to add some sex appeal to the man’s famous cable-knit red sweater and chino ensemble, it’s entirely possible thanks to Yandy which made a set for $99.95. “Capture the hearts of America this Halloween in this Yandy exclusive Sexy Undecided Voter, the most lovable political enthusiast of the 2016 election season,” the description reads. “This costume features an iconic red crop top with cap sleeves, a white cropped undershirt, blue high waisted pants with a back zipper closure, the must-have mustache, black glasses and, of course, a microphone.” All that’s missing is a disposable camera (check your local drugstore for that).

Posted on Tuesday, the costume sold out in less than a day. But, no fear, it will be restocked soon.

Something to be afraid of though is clowns, another popular look that’s also flying off shelves. Halloween Express told The Wrap sales for clown masks have risen approximately 300 percent year-over-year. And thanks to creepy clown incidents across the country, a trend involving attempts to scare unsuspecting individuals, “evil” or “scary” clown masks specifically are reportedly also on the rise.

Perhaps the most scary funny craze so far though is trumpkins (an amalgamation of Trump and pumpkins). Some incredibly talented gourd artists are carving the Republican presidential candidate’s face into the skin of the squash.

Halloween’s definitely going to be great again.
