For the first time, you can take home a Gucci art piece through a special collaboration between photographer and director Gia Coppola (daughter of Francis Ford Coppola) and Gucci. You can purchase one of nine original prints shot in a fashion-editorial-like format, each featuring models clad in Gucci, all captured through Gia’s unique lens.

Gia created a beautiful series of photos featuring rising models Elise Agee and Kate Olthoff wearing clothing from Gucci’s Pre-Fall 2016 collection. Many of the photos possess a saturated deep pink hue — which is fitting, considering the art direction behind Gucci’s own collection features a heavy focus on pink.

What’s more, all of the photos are imbued with a gorgeous nostalgic, vintage quality, with the rich, vibrant colors that have become synonymous with Alessandro Michele‘s Gucci collections.

This use of saturation can be credited to Gia’s inspiration for the photo series — director Robert Altman, whose 1977 film, 3 Women, also features a heavily saturated aesthetic.

Gia Coppola said about the connection between her art and its inspirations: “On location, we found some similarities between the film and the fashion. Altman’s storytelling wasn’t linear and existed in a grey area between the real and the unreal. The same can be said of Michele’s Gucci shows, which blur the lines between male and female, contemporary and vintage. Both of these creatures hark into our memories to make us realize how we feel in the moment.”

Coppola worked in partnership with celebrity stylist Arianne Phillips, hairstylist Teddy Charles, and makeup artist Lottie Star to create the look and feel of her photos.

The prints start at $250 and are available in three different sizes. You also have the option to purchase them mounted and/or framed. The art prints are available now at TappanCollective.com.

Tappan is a great resource for discovering and purchasing original work by emerging artists, like Coppola. And, of course, $250 is much more wallet-friendly for Gucci lovers than buying a pair of Gucci’s signature fur-lined loafers. Something to think about.
