They’ll be there for each other! Friends fans Adam Fishlock and Claire Brierley will have quite the story to tell their family and friends about how they got engaged—but their loved ones may have already seen something similar play out on TV.

That’s because earlier this month, Fishlock and Brierley returned to the setting for one of their first dates: to Comedy Central UK’s FriendsFest. There, two years after their first visit, Fishlock got down on one knee in a replica set of Monica and Rachel’s Greenwich Village apartment, and asked Brierley to marry him.

“We both absolutely love Friends, and we came to the very first FriendsFest within our first month of dating,” Fishlock said, according to Digital Spy. “When I saw that FriendsFest was back for a third year, I knew that it would be the perfect place to propose to Claire as the event means to much to us both.”

In the season six finale of the hit TV sitcom, Chandler (Matthew Perry) and Monica (Courteney Cox) get engaged, but not without a few complications first. Monica’s ex Richard (Tom Selleck) comes back into their lives, ruining Chandler’s proposal plans, so to make up for it, Monica plans the perfect proposal of her own, in the familiar purple-tinted apartment that she and Rachel (Jennifer Aniston) lived in, with candles lighting up the entire space.

“FriendsFest was one of our first memories together, so it was so special when I walked through the door to Monica’s apartment to see it had been filled with candles, just like the Friends episode,” Brierley said. “When Adam appeared from around the corner, went down on one knee, and proposed, I couldn’t believe he had done all this for me. It was such a magical moment, one that we will remember forever!”
