Dwayne Wade & Gabrielle Union Made Their First Met Gala Appearance as a Married Couple
Gabrielle Union made her second appearance at the Met Gala on Monday, and her new husband, Dwayne Wade, attended along with her on with her for his first time. “This is my first time with a date, though,” the actress told Joe Zee on the red carpet, wearing a berry red gown from Zac Posen.
The Wades made it a couple’s night out, both dressed in their best. While Union ignored the “China: Through the Looking Glass” theme, the basketball player took it seriously in a Versace black tux with satin lapels, a white bow tie, tails, and military-inspired accessories, including a red vest as an explicit nod.

Perhaps it’s his time spent in the country that helped inspire the look. “Every summer I gotta go down there and do a tour,” the Miami Heat star admitted. And when he’s busy ballin’, Union explores and eats. “I go into the hood and I’m amongst the people.”
