Amazing News Alert!! It seems like we just got Star Wars movies back after a long hiatus but in case you were thinking we might lose the franchise again too soon, Disney has reassured us that we can expect plenty of Star Wars movies in the future. Yep, Star Wars is here to stay so get psyched!

In a talk at the University of Southern California, Disney CEO Bob Iger kinda vaguely and very calmly suggested that we can expect to see new Star Wars-related projects for the next 15 years at least. Anyone else totally flipping out right now?! Here’s exactly what he said:

“We’re just starting to talk about what happens to Star Wars after [Episode] 9,” he explained to the crowd. “It’s way too early, and certainly nothing that I can reveal, but we’ve got a creative team actually thinking about what could be another decade and a half of Star Wars stories. It’s kind of mind-blowing to spend an afternoon with a creative team talking about that. Where could you go, where should we go?”

A DECADE AND A HALF. Did you read that?! Who knows exactly what that means — since Star Wars spreads out across so many different types of media. But, the idea that we could have 15 more years of new Star Wars content is pretty awesome! Here we were just pretty excited to have two more saga movies and two more stand-alone stories in the pipeline, but another DECADE of this? What a time to be alive.

Iger also said that he’s watched Star Wars: The Last Jedi, and it’s great! So that’s just one more thing for us to look forward too. But with the possibility of so much Star Wars coming up, it’s hard to complain.
