Washington DC is the mothership of U.S. politics… but tonight at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner, it fueled a few Hollywood politics thanks to Michelle Trachtenberg, the super-smart, super-glam actress who may have called out former Gossip Girl co-star Blake Lively when asked about enduring love for the show.

“I think it’s lovely to have such a strong fan base,” she told us, “and I don’t think that anyone that’s ever done something that really resonates with the public should ever deny that they’re in the successful place they are right now because of their fans. So I think people’s continued Gossip Girl obsession is a great thing.”

(Lively recently told Allure magazine that playing GG heroine Serena van der Woodsen felt “personally compromising… I would not be proud to be [Serena].”)

Trachtenberg also revealed she got some juicy gossip of her own on yesterday’s tour of the White House. “The tour with the Creative Coalition was pretty extraordinary,” she shared. “We got to see—you know there’s the blue room, the green room, the main formal dining rooms, and all of those important rooms—but then we got to see the very simple, very beautiful room where the President, the First Lady, Malia, and Sasha Obama have their real family dinners. The doors were open! We could see in!… Oh,” laughed the Sleepy Hollow actress, “I probably just got somebody in trouble at the White House.”
