Dear Jon Hamm, Need an Emmys Date? What We'd Wear to the Awards Show

This Sunday’s Emmy Awards may be a night to honor the television industry’s most talented, but for us, it’s all about the fashion. From Sarah Jessica Parker’s pink feathered Oscar De La Renta frock in 2000, to Jennifer Aniston’s boho-chic strapless Chanel dress in 2004, to Laverne Cox’s ultra-elegant caped Marc Bauwer gown in 2014 (the same year she made history as the first-ever transgender Emmy nominee), the stars’ sartorial choices are often stunning, a little wild, and always memorable.

So, in the spirit of it being both awards season and fashion month, we got to thinking: If we were going to take a stroll down this year’s Emmys red carpet, what runway looks—both classic and new—would we want to wear? We may not actually be attending, but that doesn't mean we can't fantasize about our dream looks! Here’s what the Yahoo Style staff would wear if we were nominated for one of those gleaming, golden statuettes.
