Just when we thought the deadbeat dad phenomenon getting somewhat control in society, some guy decides to take the idea into a whole different species.

The New York Post reports that a woman is suing her ex-husband for over $32,000 in pet support for their English bulldog Lola, for whom the couple agreed to share in support costs since they split back in 2012. Sarah Bronilla is accusing Josh Rosen of neglecting to cough up the thousands covering pet food and vet bills over the past 5 years.

In that time, says Bronilla, Lola has needed over $18,000 in dog food, more than $4,500 in vet bills, and $12,000 in other costs. That’s nothing to sniff at — even if Rosen is reportedly flush with cash from selling surf shop he used to own in Manhattan’s Soho district.

Of course, ditching his doggy daddy duties is not the only charge Bronilla is throwing at her ex. According to her court papers, Rosen also owes his ex-wife $20,000 in alimony and $80,000 from the aforementioned business deal. If the accusations are are true, his alleged deadbeat status will send him to the doghouse for a total of $132,000.
