Cat Cafés Around the World

The cat’s out of the bag! We’re just four days away from the opening of New York’s cat café, Meow Parlour. Lonely coffee trips with your laptop will now be filled with purring kittens and delicious sweets. Coffee breaks will never be the same!
New York, however, is not the first city to have its own cat café. The original coffee shop opened in Taiwan, followed by other cafés around the world. Japan is home to the most fanatics, with almost 39 kitty cafés in Tokyo. (Pet restrictions in apartments may have something to do with this.)

These cafés are a great way for urban dwellers to release stress and escape solitude. So why not unwind and enjoy the best kind of company, the kind that doesn’t talk but meows.
