Even though we know most of our favorite TV hangouts aren’t real, that doesn’t mean we can’t fantasize about chilling with our favorite characters in the most memorable spots within our favorite TV worlds. From Friends to Gossip Girl, TV cliques and their outrageous storylines area fun way be distracted and give us something to try and playfully recreate in our daily lives.

With so many amazing TV series (and their equally awesome characters and stories), we got to thinking about all of the coolest TV hangouts of all time. There are a LOT to choose from, but we narrowed it down to the 17 below.

Enjoy TV addicts!

1. MacLarens Pub — How I Met Your Mother

The HIMYM gang was always meeting at MacLaren’s pub and we’d be lying if we didn’t think about joining in on the fun every now and then while watching. Not only was the pub conveniently located below Lily, Marshall and Ted’s place, but it was a casual NYC bar, which everyone should experience at some point. It was also responsible for almost all of Barney’s conquests and made the line, “Have you met Ted,” legen — wait for it — dary!

2. The Met Steps — Gossip Girl

A hangout doesn’t have to have doors to be cool. On Gossip Girl, Queen B and all her minions hung out at the steps of the Met (and discussed their pretty amazing lives). The dress code was also totally on point, which we are major fans of. Sitting in NYC, sipping on coffee in matching headbands is SO high school, in the best way possible.

3. Monk’s Diner aka Tom’s Restaurant — Seinfeld

You could get a big salad, talk to your friends, drink coffee and be close to everything you need in New York, so yes, Tom’s (which exists in reality as Monk’s) was great. The only downside is that if it was crowded you’d have to sit at the bar where you can’t hear what anyone else is saying!

4. Founding Fathers — Bones

The name alone for this Bones bar makes us want to go there. It is located in Washington D.C. and pays tribute to America’s founding fathers with its decor (especially the statues of Benjamin Franklin, which are really unique and funky). Oh, and it is right next door to The Royal Diner, so you can go for a drink and get late night eats in one general location.

5. The Forman’s Basement — That ’70s Show

Living in Wisconsin in the ’70s might have been lame at times (at least according to Eric and his pals), but they always had a groovy place to just relax and be kids. We’d love to sit in Forman’s basement, watch Scooby Doo and eat popsicles or drink stolen beer from Red’s fridge any day.

6. JJ’s Diner — Parks and Recreation

OMG, they have waffles! Need we say more?

7. Beverly Hills Beach Club — Beverly Hills, 90210

While the Peach Pit is the more obvious choice for the Beverly Hills, 90210 gang, we had to give a shout out to the Beverly Hills Beach Club, where so many of the characters worked over the years. It was the ideal spot to be during the summer months. The club had personal cabanas, kids day camps and beach volleyball competitions (which Steve and Kelly were always great at because of course they were). It was just totally fabulous and right on the beach. What more could you want?

8. Tric — One Tree Hill

Yes, we loved Karen’s Cafe as much as you did, but Tric was really where everything happened once the OTH crew started to grow into their own. There was a hopping nightlife, lots of drama, and great music on a regular basis. It was pretty much the coolest place in town, besides the River Court, which was just so great — if you like basketball that is.

9. Jake’s Bar — New Girl

For a long time, Jake’s Bar was a no name bar on New Girl, but we loved it just the same. Now that Nick and Schmidt own the bar, it is even better. Plus, Cece is a sassy bartender (even though lacks some cocktail-making skills) and who doesn’t like a sassy bartender? Sign us up for a dive bar like this one ASAP.

10. The Max — Saved By the Bell

On Saved By the Bell, the Bayside kids always they found time to get a milkshake and fries at The Max despite their busy teenager schedules. It was the ultimate diner and ideal for getting over a bad grade or plotting how to ask someone to the next high school dance. Bonus: Zack Morris or A.C. Slater could walk in at any moment, which would make any girl swoon!

11. Reagan Dinner Table — Blue Bloods

Blue Bloods fans know that the one place you’d always be safe (and have the best meal possible) would be the Reagan house. Every week, they put aside their differences as a family and take break from protecting New York City to have a home-cooked meal at Commissioner Reagan’s house and it is perfect.

12. The Dirty Robber — Rizzoli & Isles

If you think this Rizzoli & Isles go-to stop is just another bar on TV, think again. It is basically the sanctuary for the Boston detectives and cops and it has undergone a lot of changes throughout the seven seasons. It was even a vegan-friendly food stop at one point, but The Dirty Robber, owned by Vince Korsak, is the best version of the location. Its vintage vibe and low-key drinks is the best spot to unwind after a long week.

13. The Bachelor Mansion — The Bachelor/The Bachelorette

Technically this is a real place since it’s part of a reality series, but we had to include it. Come on, who wouldn’t want to spend a summer day at the Bachelor mansion? There is a gigantic pool, it is secluded for a stress-free day full of sunning and drinking (there is always wine in this place). Plus, the views of Los Angeles are breathtaking.

14. The Bluebird Cafe — Nashville

This location is two-for-one fun. On Nashville it’s where all of the artists not only perform, but they also hang out there and relax when they finally get time off. The best part is that it is a real place, where you can watch country music legends and up-and-coming stars sing in Nashville, Tennessee. It’s a must-see and great for a laid back night full of live performances.

Luke’s Diner — Gilmore Girls

First of all, Luke’s had the BEST coffee in town according to both Gilmore girls, which means it has to be ah-mazing. Secondly, there were no cellphones allowed, which is very refreshing in this technology-driven age. Lastly, and most importantly, even if Luke was in a bad mood, he would wait on you in that backwards hat and plaid shirt. Oh, and if you were lucky you could get all the great food and have a Jess sighting as well. Not too shabby for a diner.

Central Perk — Friends

Obviously, Central Perk from Friends is the best of the best when it comes to TV hangouts. For starters you can get coffee all the time, which is wonderful and the esthetic of the coffee shop is fun and outrageous. You know you want to sit on the couch with your squad and talk about how hard your day was while your hot actor friend (*cough* Joey Tribbiani *cough*) tries to bring you the right drink.
